Teejri – A Wonderful Sindhi Festival

A delicacy from the land of the Mughals, a quick desert that is Rich , Sweet and Deep Fried. – The Shahi Tukda.

To create this masterpiece, a simple but thick delicious Rabadi needs to be made and cooled down till it thickens. Deep fry the bread and then let it soak in Sugar Syrup. Once it is soaked, plate it with a few spoons of Rabadi on top and garnish it with Silver Varq, Strands of Saffron and Finely sliced Dryfruits.

To Make the Rabadi :

Ingredients :

  • A lot of patience 😅
  • Thick Milk
  • Sugar
  • Some Cardarmon Powder

The trick to making a good Rabadi is a medium flame, constant stiring and an eagle eye watch, not to let it burn.

Note : adding things like Cornflour and bread Powder does quicken the process but does nothing to enhance the Taste. Stay natural and do not add any artificial thickener to relish this Royal Desert.

The bread can be cut in shapes that you desire and deep fried.

Teejri Special – The Shahi Tukda.

Need I say anymore about this age old desert?

Without further ado, I recommend a quick trial and responce.

Positive Guidence is always appreciated ♥️
